5 Halloween Math Activities

Has anyone else ever noticed that fun, holiday-themed lessons seem to drop off in middle school? I think we should put the fun back into spooky season!

October is a month when middle schoolers are super excited. We can use this excitement in a positive way!

Check out one or more of these Halloween math resources for middle school to increase engagement and focused learning - while still having some spooky fun!

  1. Escape the Haunted Manor

This digital escape room for Google Forms is SO much fun! I actually use these resources at any time during the year, not just Halloween. I have a few topics to choose from - check them out (if you dare!)

2. Coloring Activities

I love these coloring activities - it is not too "kiddie" for middle schoolers and the result is a black bat or pumpkin and mosaic! Great for decorating the classroom

3. Halloween Brain Teasers and Puzzles

This set of brain teasers, logic puzzles, and practice of basic math operations is perfect for early finishers, sub plans, or stations during October! Available is both print and digital (or a bundle of both).

4. Double Number lines just got spooky with these Halloween themed practice sheets! Students will fill in double number line templates as well as draw their own

5. As a treat for reading this far, please enjoy this Halloween Logic Puzzle Freebie! Happy Halloween!
